NARS Andy Warhol Collection: Your Last Chance To Purchase

There is only 3 days left to shop the Nars Limited Edition Andy Warhol Collection.  The collection came out back in October and of course, with many sets available just in time for the holidays.  The collection stayed true to Andy Warhol, featuring the same iconic and bold colors the artist used frequently in his work. Packaging was also a nice change from the usual all black NARS packaging.  I’ve always been a fan of Andy Warhol; blending his artistic view with cosmetics was an awesome idea in my opinion.  NARS creator,  François Nars, partnered with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts to create this collection and after January 31st it will no longer be available. *SIGH*  Online there is a far better selection of items that you won’t find at your local Sephora.  To see the entire collection and grab something before its gone visit their website or just click on the  link above.

This was the front page of the booklet passed out at my local Sephora to promote the new collection.

A Fresh Weekend

It’s Monday again! How fast time flies when you are having fun. This weekend I didn’t work so I enjoyed my days off and now its back to work and school for me. On Saturday my boyfriend played for a friend’s birthday at a nightclub downtown. I like when he plays shows like this because it gives me an excuse to go shopping and get dolled up!

My boyfriend is the first name on the poster, Cheeto Lopez! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Okay , so this is the first thing I wanted to share with you guys. Everyone who knows me, knows I am always searching for deals everywhere. Hey, if I can save a few bucks on something cool, why not?! This whole perfume set was $84 dollars at Macy’s and it was on sale for 50% off! To make it even better, I had a Macy’s gift card from Christmas still un-used. I ended up paying only $20 for the whole set. If you haven’t had a chance to smell Lady Gaga’s new fragrance, Fame, I’d definitely suggest you do! I am in love with it. All night I kept lifting my wrist up to smell it. It’s almost a sexy, mysterious smell that reminds me of something from the past I just can’t put my finger on it. Still very feminine, and I think it’s so cool that the liquid is black! Lady Gaga would do something creative like that. Not to worry, the black doesn’t come off on your clothes so you can go a little spritz crazy like I did.

What I Wore (Corona Optional)

Black Shrunken Studded Blazer from Misogno Boutique $60

Mint Peplum Skirt from Forever 21 $10

Rose Gold Chain Bracelet from Forever 21 $7

Black and Gold Spiked Heels from LuLu’s $80

Black Suede Bag with Gold Chain from Looksy $60

I don’t know if you can see my bag sitting there in the back. I should have taken better pictures but I was a little distracted! Anyways, I needed a purse so badly and I had my eye on this one for a while. When I saw it online it immediately reminded me of the Celine Gourmette Bag, but obviously much more on my budget. Below is the actual Celine bag, and mine is on the top. They are almost identical! I love that the bag is suede, but that means I have to be extra careful not to get it wet or dirty! I’m trying but that’s hard for me! The front of the bag folds over and buttons nicely. Its almost a bohemian, hippie looking bag, because of its relaxed style, but I love how to gold chain accent just makes it more glam. I buy a lot of black and gold but its good to buy things you know you can mix and match with your wardrobe. Get your moneys worth!

The little rollerball perfume I keep in my purse so I can smell like Gaga all day! I can’t say I thought I would actually want to smell like Lady Gaga? But never say never, I suppose!20130128-161914.jpg

Just a look inside my bag. A few makeup travel sized makeup brushes, a small makeup bag with only the essentials! Some notecards cuz I started school last week.

A better picture of my heels. These are like 5 1/2 inches high! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen these already.

My fabulous friend, Alex. She has an awesome sense of style, I may just feature her soon!20130128-195432.jpg

And that’s pretty much it! Sunday I relaxed and went to see the movie, Mama. Its pretty creepy! Hope you all had a nice weekend too! I’ll be posting some beauty products later this week so I hope you check back! Xo

Coachella 2013 Hologram ?

~The official lineup for Coachella was announced last night via Twitter and this trending topic has already flooded every social media network. Excitement filled me, as it did thousands of other music lovers, when I read the complete list of performing acts for the infamous music festival. If you follow me on any social media outlets like Twitter or Instagram, then you know that I love music and I love attending events like this. Unfortunately, I am planning to go to Miami for Ultra Music Festival this year, and time/money will just not allow me to attend both. Because I will not be attending Coachella, this is just a list of artists I would be watching perform if I were there. For anyone who is seeing these artists please upload your videos on YouTube! ~

~Speaking of YouTube, I finally created a channel of my own. Right now I only have videos uploaded from music events such as this one, and a few of my family, boyfriend, dogs ect. These videos can give you a more more insight on my personal life and interests, but I do plan on starting beauty hauls, tutorials and things of that nature. COMING SOON!~

~And finally, since it is Friday (TGIF) and most of us are getting ready to enjoy our weekend, I thought I’d leave you with one of my favorite songs at the moment. This Coachella artist has been a favorite of mine for the past few years and this song was featured on the Twilight Breaking Dawn Soundtrack. BTW how awesome was that final movie? I am obsessed with it!

Friday Music; Cochella Artist, Personal Fave, Cecil Loves—> Passion Pit – Where I Come From

Full lineup from the Coachella Internet Poster:

Where you would see me IF I was at Coachella:

FRIDAY Band of Horses, Dillon Francis, Infected Mushroom, Nicky Romero, Seth Troxler, Tegan and Sara, Thomas Gold , Tommy Trash SATURDAY 2 Chainz Bat For Lashes, Bingo Players, Benny Benassi, Fedde Le Grand, Franz Ferdinand , Janelle Monae, Kill the Noise, Knife Party, Loco Dice, Moby, Richie Hawtin, Simian Mobile Disco, The Postal Service, The Xx, Two Door Cinema Club, SUNDAY Adrian Lux, Danny Avila, Eric Prydz , Hardwell , Joris Voorn ,La Roux, Paul Oakenfold, Pretty Lights, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wu- Tang-Clan.

P.S. As we all know, last year Coachella completely surprised festival goers with a Tupac hologram performance. That leaves me wondering if they will have another suprise hologram performance this time around? After the success of last years I don’t see why not. My picks would have to be a Notorious B.I.G. since they had Tupac last year. Or manybe a special performance by Kurt Cobain? That would be sweet! Ah the possibilities!

Hebrews 6:19

I was going through a rough time in my life maybe a year or two years ago, and I remember sometimes feeling so hopeless like nothing would ever get better for me.  Of course I learned that through difficult trials we are forced to grow as a person.  We learn to adapt to different situations and ultimately become a stronger, wiser individual.  Eventually, I learned to actually thank God for testing me; not only testing me but teaching me as his child.  James 1:2-5 says:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

If you are ever feeling like the lowest of lows, please don’t underestimate the power of hope.  It gives you something to look forward to, something to pray for, something to have faith in, and it helps you during the difficult challenges that we all face at some point in life.  Happy Sunday friends!

January Glam Bag

The January Glam bag has had a lot of people talking; issue being this months bag did not include any cosmetics. I read a lot of comments on social media regarding this and there were a lot of Ipsy customers that felt very passionate about it.

I just want to give MY opinion and say that cosmetics or not, I loved this months bag. Ipsy is a beauty subscription service. Beauty has a wide range and is not limited to only cosmetics.

Besides, I think it’s great that they switched it up a bit. Everything that came in the bag was something I needed and it came at the perfect time! The only thing I can semi-complain about is my nail polish. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely polish, but a friend of mine received a light pink almost neutral polish that I adored. Good thing I can use my Ipsy coupon codes to purchase it! All in all, for my second month as an Ipsy customer, I am completely satisfied and looking forward to continuing my subscription!

1. Soho Concealer Brush: has a nice grip!
2. Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter: smells amazing, 100% VEGAN.
3. Nailtini Nail Laquer: bold red color, applies smoothly.
4. Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil: makes hair incredibly soft and shiny, ORGANIC.
5. Big Sexy Hair Hairspray: incredible hold! I always use this hairspray and had recently finished a bottle.

Thank you, Ipsy! Also, thank you to my awesome boyfriend who pays for my subscription! If you are interested in signing up for this service click here.
